Lynsey is a comic artist and illustrator exploring everyday observations, overheard conversations and historical references.

Originally from Texas, she always had a passion for illustrating, needlework and fiber art and grew up sewing quilts and clothing along with drawing editorial comics for the local newspaper. Lynsey received her BFA in Fashion Design from the University of North Texas in 2005. After moving to New York, she worked in the fashion design industry for the likes of Betsey Johnson and Ralph Lauren in trim and fabric R&D and textile design while always drawing and painting and incorporating the media together.  She completed her MFA in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology and her written thesis, Illustration Sampler: The Use of Fabric, Embroidery and Thread in Contemporary Illustration was published in 2014. She is working on freelance illustrations, comics and commissions out of her Brooklyn studio, piled high with tchotchkes, fabrics and paint.
